We both slept well -- I have reacquainted myself with Deck
Six -- four times around equals one mile.
I am committed to walking two miles every day -- it was very windy but
pleasant this morning. I also went to
the stretch class at 7:00 am but my back was not cooperating -- so walking will
have to do the trick.
Phil Haveing Breakfast Lido by the Pool
The Statendam arrives at Half Moon Cay, an island owned by Holland America. Our stop here is for passengers who want to
enjoy the beach, water sports and/or nature.
Phil and I do not fall into any of these categories but we get off the
ship and tender in -- weather is hot but not humid. We walk around to check out what is available
-- several bars, booths selling hats, scarves, beach bags, hair-braiding -- the
usual carribean fare. Phil spots a
wide-brimmed hat he thinks I should have so we buy it.
Phil with Statendam in Distance
In our wanderings we come across a spot where folks can
mingle with the sting rays. Watching
this exercise is fun --- more so than participating as far as I'm concerned.
It is getting warmer so we stop at a bar close to where the
barbecue lunch is about to be served securing our place to eat. The barbecue buffet is okay -- chicken, beef,
hot dogs, fruit, cole slaw, corn on the cob -- all very tasty.
Swimming with the Stingrays!
After lunch -- we head back to the Statendam --- and spend
the afternoon reading. I am half way
through Cottage For Sale, Must Be Moved
by Kate Whouley. Anyone who loves
Cape Cod would probably enjoy this.
Our dining reservation notice is in our stateroom -- 8:00 pm
- Table 81. When we arrive Table 81 is
a table for four -- but nobody joins us.
We have a very nice meal and a good day.
Thanks for Reading.
Pat
